We got married at Bonanza King Resort in May 2023 and it was better than we ever could have imagined. If you are considering hosting an event here, the space speaks for itself, but what truly makes it special is the Johnson family. Owners Kevin & Janelle Johnson genuinely love bringing people together, and they work tirelessly to keep the cabins & grounds in top shape. Communication with them was seamless. They accommodated every request we had and they went so far above & beyond to make our event special. We have countless examples of their thoughtfulness and effort. Below are just a few: - when we expressed that our desire to rent circular dining tables was too costly, they took money out of their own pocket to pay for and transport tables simply because they knew it would make us happy - though we would have been perfectly happy with normal chairs at the ceremony space, they built benches from milled lumber because it matched our aesthetic better - they flew their daughter, Lauryn, in from out-of-state to work the wedding — again, at no cost to us - they picked up personal supplies from Costco (a 1.5 hour drive from the venue) to help lighten my load - they let my catering Chef use their own personal kitchen when he realized his sheet pans didn’t fit in the cabin ovens - when we realized it wasn't in our budget to rent a party tent, they purchased one of their own just in case we needed it In terms of the space itself, the bridal suite was adorable and equipped with thoughtful touches. The grounds were rustic yet polished. The cabins were cozy and spotlessly clean. The ceremony space was beautifully manicured and the reception area was charming. There were plenty of places for guests to tuck away and explore. I cannot recommend Bonanza King Resort enough. Hosting our event here positively changed the course of our lives. Thank you, Kevin & Janelle!

This resort is a magical place. The cabins are so clean and stocked with everything you need. Bathrooms with plenty of towels, soap, and tp. Showers well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and perfect water pressure. Kitchens have all you need to make your meals and to brew your morning cup of coffee. The creek is steps away from your cabin with several sweet spots to sit by it to listen to the rushing water while you sip your coffee. Fishing, hiking, biking, boating, or simply sitting back with friends and family surrounded by a beautiful forest. One is gently forced to relax. We can't wait until next time!

I didn't stay here, but I attended a private party thrown by the hosts. So I don't know anything about the cabins, but the property is picturesque. Beautiful Coffee Creek, which was roaring with the spring snow melt, borders it on the back side. The grounds are caringly maintained. There are several recreational facilities - bocce ball court, basketball court, swimming hole, cornhole court, children's playground... There is a large, community covered porch area with comfortable furniture. All in a wooded setting. If there were a picture in the dictionary of "Glamping," it would be of the Bonanza King Resort.

I can’t speak highly enough of Bonanza King and the family behind this beautiful venue. I’m getting married here in September and have had the opportunity to stay at the grounds and work closely with the owners planning for the big day. There is so much attention and care put into the property, from spotless cabins with all of the amenities you could dream of, to beautiful outdoor areas with activities for everyone and tons of communal spaces for groups to socialize. The cherry on top for me, though, is the kindness of the owners. It’s so clear they love what they do and really want to go above and beyond for their guests. Just GOOD people. I absolutely can’t wait to go back before the big day and I plan on returning often, it’s just such a serene place.

This resort is so beautiful and well maintained. Each cabin has a full kitchen, nicely decorated, super cozy and several beds. Perfect place to go to enjoy nature with a few people or a large group..Pavilion and lawn area to entertain, fire pit, stream, many hiking trails nearby and about an hour to Mt. Shasta. Kevin and Janelle were such amazing hosts. They were so accommodating from before we even arrived, until we left. They took us to Bonanza King Lookout which had some of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. I will definitely go back especially because how they made us feel. I left there filled with so much joy and peace

I recently stayed for 5 nights with my sister & her husband. It's very quiet & peaceful here. Although in a remote location, the wifi connectivity was excellent...important because my sister is a professor and was teaching online. Located right on Coffee Creek, it's a great place to chill.

Absolutely amazing stay. We came in November (off season). The grounds were still beautiful and well kept. Cabins are incredibly cozy with all the comforts you may need. We stayed in the Rainbow cabin with our three kids (9,8,2). The wood burning stove heat up the cabin sufficiently and added to the ambiance. The beds were comfortable. The cabin was well updated. The owners were helpful and answered all questions. I am so glad we found Bonanza King Resort. No complaints whatsoever. We will definitely be back and are already planning our next stay.
